Monticello or Logan? That is the Question!

Well, the last few days have been spent on the road. On Saturday night Nick and I went to Les Miserable in St. George. It was amazing! Being there reminded us of Henderson because it was so hot and never cooled down. We miss our friends and ward there.

On Sunday we drove up to Lehi first to see my 2 brothers and their families. It was so great to see and visit with them!!! New baby Nathan was so cute! It made me really excited about our baby on the way. We still had 2 hours to drive to make it to Logan before dark, so Nick peeled me off my brothers couch and off we went. I wasn't feeling well the whole way up, so when we arrived at my sisters house, I went to bed.

The next day I felt much better. Nick left for his interview at 8, while I hung out with Jess and her 2 boys. Then Nick picked me up and the other OT's took us to lunch. After that...5 1/2more hours on the road.

So the question...Monticello or Logan? Nick got an offer in Monticello SEVERAL months ago, when we were still in Vegas. The company he would work for is awesome with great people. The money is good and my sister Sherstin and her family live there, so that is a plus. The only con...the job is working mostly with adults and older adults. Logan job is with kids. (and for those who know Nick, this is his knack) He said after interviewing, that this was his dream job. The money is about the same as Monticello, housing would be a little more, but I have my sister Jessica that lives there. We are so torn. It seems like the pros and cons of both are equal. So...

Tomorrow we head to Monticello for the weekend so Nick can go to work with the guys there and try it out for 2 days. Then we will be making some decisions. (Staying in Cedar is still an option too.)

We have a baby appointment next week and I am excited about that. I am now 15 weeks, and I have begun to get a baby bulge.

I would say go with the kids. He definitely does have a knack with kids.

About this last weekend. Its one of those things where I thought about it continuously for weeks before hand and then when the time came it NEVER even crossed my mind. After we got home I was sick to my stomach that we had totally forgot. I was so sad. Now the question is how am I going to get your pan back to you?

I am so excited that you are getting a bump. I think early pregnancy bumps are so cute. Have you felt any movement yet?

Yeah! 15 weeks! Soon you will get to see the sex. So fun! And I am very jealous that you just barely have a baby bulge. . . I started showing at 6 weeks!!! Ahhhh! Oh well-- I guess that is the trade off for not getting sick.

PS I am voting for Logan. . . I have a sister their too. Then I could visit you too!!!

I thought the title of the post "Monticello or Logan? That is the Question!" was to pick names for the baby!! Oh well, silly me :)

I vote for Logan. If working with kids is what Nick loves to do then it should definitely be there.

I love Logan. It's a great place to live, and raise your fam! Plus working with kids seems much more fulfilling and rewarding!

If the technical pros and cons really are about even, then I say definitely go with Logan. Even though the housing costs a little bit more, Nick will glean so much more satisfaction from what he is doing. You and I know (as teachers) that jobs that are personally fulfilling are more rewarding. I loved that I wanted to go to work on Monday mornings. If Nick has an opportunity for a life like that, grab it with both hands!
Also, my parents are in Logan (Smithfield) so it would be nice to have some friends to see when I'm visiting them.
Congrats on the baby bump. I think it was about 14 or 15 weeks that I started to show even with clothes on, too. How exciting! Now you just have to get through the next few weeks where you still look bloated or like you have a beer belly before the uterus moves up higher and it actually looks like a baby. So fun!

Keep Nick happy in his profession and go with Logan! He is meant to work with kids.

I'm for Logan too... Kids, close to Idaho, snow (if you can count that as a pro), close to Idaho, yeah I think you should definitely go with Logan. We miss you guys, the kids have been asking when they can go and see you again.

I hate decisions like that!! Good luck, hopefully it will all just fall into place. Cute, a baby bump! Isn't it nice not to have to suck in all the time!! Oh, Amanda Hicks is getting married and she needs your address and phone#. If you know anyone else she needs to invite let me know.
