Weekend Fun

This weekend was especially nice for me.  On Friday night Nick took the kids and I had a girls night with two of my college buddies Amy and Michelle.  We went to Zupas and visited.  Just enjoyed time together.

Yesterday we went to Lagoon as a family.  We decided to get season passes this year since we live so close and it has been so nice.  We have spent the last three weekends there for a few hours each.  Yesterday was especially fun though because Jessica and her family came too.  We enjoyed a fun dinner with them too.

Today we hosted "Soup Sunday" where the ward invites the new families from the month over for soup to get to know them.  I had  to make 2 different soups, have a clean house, get primary all ready (Sr. Primary was planned, but at 7am I found out I had to teach Jr. Primary too)  and get me and the girls ready all in a few hours, but it went well.

Still looking for a house.  The process has been slow but I have to have faith and trust in the inspiration I am getting so far.

Dancing Time

Today I had to get Molly all dolled up for dance pictures.  I was being kind of cheep though and didn't buy any of them...just took some of my own.  Anyone else think that $50 for 2 sheets is a little pricey?!?  Apparently not because all the other kids got them, but we just showed up for the class shot.  She looks so beautiful and I am proud of all her work this year in dance.  The recital isn't until May 21st.  Anyone who wants to come is invited.

Mayers

Last night we met up with the Mayers for dinner at Costa Vida in Draper.  They are some really great friends we met while living in Henderson for grad. school.  The move to Henderson was HARD for me, but the Mayers became some of our best friends.  We would often hang out at each others houses, attended an institute class together and would attend the temple together often.  We went to some performances of Kyle and Shalise as they both sing beautifully!  We were there helping paint when they got their first house.  They were there when we miscarried with flowers and a listening ear.  They were also there when we announced that we were expecting again.  I feel like even though we don't see each other often we are still close and I am so thankful for their friendship!!  They are moving to CO next week and we will miss living close to them.  It is days like this, as they leave that I am kicking myself for not getting together more often.  (Although I blame it on Shalise and I both pregnant and sick at the same time and then both having new babies to worry about.) When we met neither of us had children.  I remember driving somewhere with Kyle and Shalise and asking what was new.  They both were silent and smiling for a second and then I said, "You're Pregnant."  Yep, I called it.  When Shalise had Hudson we went and saw them in the hospital. (Now having my own babies, I'm sorry we went out.  I think hospitals with a newborn are just for family, so thanks for being easy going about it Shalise.)  Molly and Cannon are just two months apart.  (Molly being older) And Bensen and Avey are a month apart. (Bensen being older)  Good memories!
 Good Fun!  Good Friends!

9 Months

Avenley is the happiest baby!  She brings us all so much joy with her smile and giggle.
Here are a few facts about 9 months:
1. In 6-9 month clothes and size 2 diapers
2.  Very social.  She loves to babble
3.  Crawling all over now
4.  Pulls  herself up to look in the toy box
5.  Pulls all the books off the shelf all the time
6.  Still prefers mom but will go to dad easily and others when she isn't tired
7.  Points at things
8.  Signs "all done" and lip smacks when she wants to eat
9.  Loves the "quiet book"
10.  It seems she has chosen a favorite blankie...one Tammy King knitted and Camille Jensen fixed.  It is so soft but pretty gentle.
11.  Can put a pony tail on to of her head
12.  Doesn't like the car seat
13.  Says mama, baba, and uh-oh
14.  Loves her sister Molly
15.  Likes to go to bed by being rocked to music on the ipad...the same music I listened to with my hypnobirthing.

Sunday Picnic

I love her imagination now.  Always pretending.  She likes to pretend that she is the mom now.  It is pretty helpful in getting her to do things she doesn't like to do...like clean up.  I'll just say, "pretend your the mom and you are cleaning this room" and it usually works.

Look who's CRAWLING

Wesley's Blessing weekend

This weekend all the boys in my family went to the Jazz game while Joseph was in town.  (Nick was also able to take his dad which he really enjoyed.)  Since no women were around, no pictures were taken but they had a wonderful time.

Bart and Jess stayed with us Friday and Saturday night.  On Saturday we went to a train/gun/car museum in Ogden.  It seemed to suit the boys more than Jess and I, but it was still fun.  We enjoyed a picnic and then headed home to get Avey down for a nap.  Nick and Molly went to Lagoon for the first time with our season passports while the Jensens went shopping and I enjoyed some quiet time.  We spent the evening playing Monopoly deal.

Today was Wesley's special day as he was blessed.  We gathered all together again to celebrate.
