Quinsey Hope 4 Months

Quinsey November 2017

This month we did a bit of traveling.  The first place we traveled to was Price.  I haven't ever been there and it was a long drive.  I don't like being in the car!!  I did have fun with Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Sherstin's family though.  Everyone likes to make me smile and I love all the attention.  We had Thanksgiving dinner at our house with Nana, Papa and Crystal.  Then the next day we drove to SLC to play in the motel.  I went swimming for the first time and really liked it, except for the cold.  I took a quick nap and then we went to temple square to see the lights.  I slept through a lot of it because I was so tired.  Then I cried the whole way home...did I mention I hate cars?!?  I love laying on my back and playing with my feet.  I like sitting in the bumbo so I can see what everyone is doing.  I had my 4 month check up and I was 24 inches-18th percentile, 13 lbs 2.5 oz-20th percentile, 16.5 inch head-77th percentile.  I also love eating my fingers, looking at myself in the mirror and playing with my sisters.

Molly November 2017

I am such a good big sister.  I help mom with Quinsey all the time.  I get her binkies, blankies, smile at her and sing to her.  I like when she smiles back at me.  I am also big enough to hold her and I really enjoy that!  This month was Thanksgiving and we hosted it at our house.  Nana, Papa and Crystal came.  There was lots of food and I sampled all of it!  Jeremy came for a few hours too.  The next day we went to Salt Lake to Nana and Papas motel and went swimming.  Then we went to dinner and to see the lights at temple square.  It was so much fun!  I also went to Price this month.  It was the first time going there in over a year.  We went to see Trinalee, Keenan and Kitahni in the play, "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat."  It was good.  I hope I can perform like that someday.  Mom pays me a quarter overnight that I read to Avey.  I also like to read to Quinsey when she wants.  I wrote a song about Quinsey for reflections and took first place at my school!  I can't wait to see if I win at the district!  Here are the words of my song.  The theme this year is "Within Reach.

Behind the Window
Lyrics and Singing by Molly Sidwell
Guitar by Nick Sidwell

I Iook through the window, there’s a bright blue light
on my sister so bright.

I got to hold her and sing her a song
but that was all and then she was gone.

Behind the window, she lays within reach
she needs help to breathe, I wish I could teach.

I really want to hold her and give her a kiss
She’s got to get stronger.  This is my wish.

Now she is home within reach every day
I sing to her, hold her and teach her to play.
