Sick again...temple and house.

This weekend has been a busy/stressful one for me.  I don't handle more than one thing going on at a time very well.  On Friday we went and saw a house in Kaysville that we liked.  Pretty much everything about it we liked...except that it isn't in Farmington.  On Saturday as we were driving to Lehi we decided to put an offer on it.  That by its self is stressful enough, but we were also dealing with a sick baby and needing to leave her while we attended the temple.  Nick's brother Jeremy went through the temple yesterday.  It was wonderful! And we are so proud of him.  I am thankful for Julia and Jessica so I could attend, even though Avey was sick.  Last night she seemed to get worse so this morning I called her doctor and he wanted to see her.  So we drove to Kaysville and he said she had an ear infection and sinus infection.  We also stopped for a while at the church we would go to if we buy the house.  It looked like a really good family ward.  So now we will just have to see how it all plays out.

Meeting the Old Man!

Last night for family night we thought we would head to Station Park to meet Santa.  We were a little surprised to see it was so busy but apparently it was a special night for kids there.  They had a booth to make snowflakes.  You could watch some ice skaters and they had face painting and a few booths you could win prizes.  We won 2 free pictures with Santa so we got in the long line.  We had not prepared to be in line that long and were FREEZING.  Nick took the girls inside of a restaurant and I waited in line.  When we finally got in Avenley wouldn't get too close and cried most of the time, but Molly loved meeting the old man.  He was very kind to her.

Dancing Around the Christmas Tree

Molly had a holiday dance recital this last week.  It was SO fun and she did such a great job!!  I was a little frazzled getting her there...since I had the time wrong in my head.  I thought I would be 30 min. early, but we arrived about 2 minutes before she went on and I forgot every ones tickets in the car.  Luckily the person let us in without tickets.  Nana and Papa, Grandma Whitehead and Matthew came to cheer her on.  She really is getting better each year.  She is still the queen of distraction though.  The first recital it was a feather.  This time it was a fuzzy on her tights.  :)

December is Flying By!

The month is moving along quickly.  Always so much to do this month with shopping, snow, cooking, etc. but always lots of fun going on too.

A recap of things going on...
1.  Both the kiddos have been sick.  Molly's seemed to take a turn for the worse and she went to the doctor.  She had bronchitis and ended up on an antibiotic.
2.  We got more snow and since the girls didn't get to play in the snow at all while they were sick, they especially enjoyed their daddy pulling them on the sled.

3.  We have done a lot of playing inside because it has been so cold.  It has been fun to see Molly's imagination take flight.  She is always pretending to be a puppy, or unicorn, or princess, or teacher.  In these pictures she is pretending to be a flying pony. (Wearing the wings her and Nick made with a hanger, some old tights and some glitter paint.)

4.  Avenley loves to play with her dolls.  She likes to push them in the stroller.  She is really cute with them.  She is also obsessed with shoes.  I see her putting them on whenever she sees them...no matter the size.  She actually walks really good in the dress up high heels.  She climbs on everything!

5.  Made tamales with the Bodily's one night to honor a tradition for Nick.  They turned out so good!  Great to share the time making them with such wonderful friends.

6.  Bath time at our house with these beauties.

7.  Face Painting a couple of times.  One at the opening of Old Navy and the other when we went to meet Santa.

Thanksgiving 2013 Weekend

Thanksgiving this year was at the Sidwell's.  I spent the morning making sweet potatoes and apple pie.  Then we loaded and drove to Eagle Mountain.  We had a wonderful feast and time visiting.  That night we went bowling with Aunt Camille, Crystal, Nana and Papa.  Avey wasn't feeling well the whole day but did enjoy the bowling alley.  We drove home that night because of Avenley being sick.

The next day we received a phone call that Jeremy got his mission call, so we loaded the kids again, (Avey being a little worse than the day before) and were present when he opened his call to Poland!!  I could not be more happy or joyful for him!  Molly ended up staying the night and the next day Keith and Ali brought Molly back along with Crystal.  We ate leftovers, did a few Christmas crafts, and played some games.  We are so blessed to have such great families!
