Closing

Tomorrow we are supposed to close on our loan for the house and 24 hours later it should be ours. That is to say everything goes as planned. We are so excited to get moved into our home, but honestly the packing has been such a bore. I keep thinking, "This is the last time you have to do this for a long time," but it still seems tedious. I went there tonight and there are still a few last minute things to do so I hope they get busy. (mirrors to put up, windows to clean, a few touch ups)

This last weekend was a lot of fun. Last minute we decided to go camping. We went with my sister Jess and her family. Molly totally loves being outside, even if it is cold. We loved making smores and talking around the camp fire. Around 1 am, I had enough of Molly crying every 20 min. so her and I took the 10 min. drive home (we were just up Logan Canyon) and slept in our own beds. Then Saturday morning we went back.
On Saturday we went to Salt Lake and visited some friends at Wheeler Farm. They took these cute pictures of Molly. I love her eyes in them. After seeing them, we went to dinner with the Sidwell's and then went to the RS General Broadcast. We met my mom and sister-in-law Julia there and also my mother in law Ali and sister in law Kim and Crystal. It was fun to be all together. Thanks Ali for getting us tickets. Saturday night we went to the Bodily's where Nick had been hanging out while I was at the broadcast. We enjoyed a really great visit with them. We have been blessed to have the best friends!
Molly is SO CLOSE to crawling. We haven't tried to teach her, hoping that she wouldn't be too mobile until we got into the house, but everyday she gets closer on her own. It is fun to watch how her mind works.
Molly loves to splash in the tub. Isn't she so cute!

Time Out

Cute Ponytail. Doesn't she have the cutest little face?!?

This weekend I attended Time Out for Women with my moms, sisters, aunt, and friends. What a blast and a great re-boost. I feel recharged and I love having uplifting events that bring the spirit back stronger in my life. I am so thankful for Nick for staying with Molly so I could go. (he brought her up to the meeting so I could feed her on the breaks) Thanks Hunny!

The house is about done!! We do the final walk through on Wednesday and then we will just wait for the loan to close and we can move in. It looks like maybe conference weekend, but we will see. I can't wait to have our own home!! I have worried about Molly making the adjustment. Do babies even notice? I know she doesn't sleep well when we stay at others houses, but is that because she doesn't have her crib? Humm.

The weather here has been so nice!! Tonight we took a walk and it is starting to feel like fall. I am sure the leaves will start changing soon. Another fun thing to look forward to.

Just some thoughts

This last week has been pretty busy. I am the enrichment leader in our ward and we had our quarterly enrichment meeting. In this ward they have a tradition of doing a service, dinner and craft night, so it actually went from 5:30-11:00pm. (We were actually there until 12:30 though) When I got my calling there were only 2 people on the board and it was sort of hard and stressful planning the whole event. I recruited some ward friends to help out and they were LIFESAVERS! About a week before the event they called 4 more members and they just hopped right in and totally helped too. The night turned out successful. We had a speaker from the institute, dinner, a service auction and 3 different crafts along with a cake decorating demo. Lots to organize and I am so thankful for all those that helped. I can't believe how much that consumed my week last week and I am glad it is done.

My sister Jess that lives here had knee surgery this week too. She has had her mother in law here helping, but I tried to run up and help whenever I could. This week I plan to can peaches, raspberry jam, and stewed tomatoes.

I am on staff this year at "Time Out for Women" on USU campus and have 1 ticket left for $5.00. (it is normally $65) The first one who comments that they want it, it is all yours. (I may have two, but I am waiting on a friend to let me know if she is for sure coming) I am a little nervous about leaving Molly for so many hours. Yes I am still nursing, so I will do that at out lunch breaks, but I think I will struggle going that long without seeing her. Sounds a little pathetic, but true. When we had our enrichment Friday, so was with her dad from 4:40-12:30 and I only came home to feed her and put her to bed. I missed her so bad that when she woke up in the night, I went right in and nursed her, even though she didn't really need to. Do any of you moms out there know how I feel. I hear it gets easier leaving them, but I still struggle.

Speaking of Molly, she did the cutest thing the other night. She found her shadow and kept trying to grab it. She also started putting her face in the water at her bath time and blows bubbles. It is so fun.

Today we went to the house and we now have lights, light fixtures, carpet, toilets and sinks, a garage door, and sidewalks. It is getting so close I just can't wait!!

Last-yesterday we went hiking with some friends and I slipped and fell. Smack! I think I may have bruised my tailbone. Ouch!

The LONG weekend

Pigtails to go visit Nana Ali

Birthday Bash!
Nick has tomorrow off!  YEAH!!  So technically the long weekend isn't over, but it has been a pretty busy one for us.  On Friday we went down to Lehi and visited Nick's family.  We threw him a surprise party for his 29th birthday.  It was fun visiting with family and Nick really was surprised which is something I never seem to be able to pull off.  Last Thursday, which was his real birthday, my sister Jess had us over for dinner and cake.  They got him a paddle for his xbox and I got him BBQ stuff.  Molly gave him a book of pictures of her to show all the people he works with.
Saturday was my nephew Williams baptism.  He is such a sweet boy and I was so happy we chose to be baptized.  Saturday night we had a get together with some friends that I went to my first semester of college with (in Nauvoo Ill.).  I hadn't seen most of them in 9 years so it was great to see them and catch up.  I also chopped my hair on Saturday after the baptism.  It is pretty short and I don't really know how to do it yet, so no pictures yet. :)
Lastly, today we went to a friends baby blessing on our way back to Logan.  It was nice to see them too.  What a great weekend!!  I am hoping Molly sleeps well tonight after the lack of a schedule and naps.  We will see.  Tonight we went over to the new house to see what they did on Friday.  Here are a few updated pics.
Kitchen cabinets that I totally love!
A bathroom with some storage...yeah!
The outside with the brick on and door painted.

Cousins Reunion

Last weekend we had a cousins reunion with the cousins on my dad's side.  It had been at least 8 years since I had seen most of them, so it was really fun to catch up.  We just had lunch at willow park and visited but it was a blast.  Then my brother John took us to the lake.  It was so much fun!!  Thanks John!  I went knee boarding for the first time in about 5 years.  I have to admit I was a little sore the next day, but it sure felt great!

Molly has been struggling this week with a little cold.  She also has had a hard time with solids, so she is back to breast-milk only.  Because of that, she hasn't been sleeping through the night again.  Hopefully she will be able to handle solids again soon.  Here are some funny pictures of her lately.  She loves to stick out her tongue.  Nick was seeing how flexible she is.

The house seems to be moving a long slower than ever.  The did put in the cabinets and countertops.  They look beautiful.  We should move in the end of this month!
