Zoo

This last weekend we went to the zoo.  Not that Molly will remember it, but we had a great time.  Nick had a mission reunion in Salt Lake, so we decided to leave early and do something as a family.  Jared and Ben came with us.  We had a great time and enjoyed seeing Nicks mission pres.
Molly had her first trip to the pool this last month.  I forgot to blog about it, but she loved it.  We bought a punch pass to the aquatic center, so it looks like more fun pool days ahead.

Several Updates...

The last week or so has been really busy and really fun.  Here is a recap of the festivities.

We picked up my sister Sherstin's kids to help watch them for the week.  (She went to Nauvoo with my parents and her hubby)  My sister Jess and I watched the kids.  It was a little crazy having all the extra kids, but I really loved it and really miss them already!  We spent some time at the pool, going on walks to the park, and I even taught the kids a little cake decorating.  We went to the Hannah Montana movies and also did some geo-caching.  We also took the kids to the temple open house in South Jordan.  My Grandpa met us there to go through.

Over the weekend we had some special friends from Henderson come and visit.  We loved seeing Tisha and the kids!!  Missed you Neil.  Then on Friday we went to Bear Lake with the Mickels and Bodilys- some friends from our time in Cedar City.  We had a blast relaxing, sailing, swimming, playing tennis and just catching up.  We have been blessed with such GREAT friends!  On Saturday we stopped at Summerfest here in Logan, where Nick had some of his paintings on display.  The paintings had to be of an outdoor scene in Cache Valley.  They turned out really nice.
So tired after a long day sailing.  I laid her on the bed to get ready to change her, grabbed a diaper from her bag and came back to this sleepy head.
Really the last few weeks have just flown by.  I feel like my baby is growing too fast.  It makes me think of the song, "Don't Blink."  She has been blowing bubbles for a few months now, but I finally caught it on film.

Last but not least...yesterday they dug a hole in our mud.  The house building has officially begun.  We are so excited!(this picture is the day before the dig.)

If they build it...

We are building a home!!  I feel so blessed!  Around the time we had Molly we started looking at houses.  We looked for several months and have decided to build instead.  We are so excited!  We will be building the home pictured above-breaking ground a week from tomorrow.  Projected to move in the end of October.  I am sure things might get tight, crazy or stressful, but honestly, it has gone very smoothly so far.  We picked out all the colors, siding, brick, carpet, appliances, etc.   Anyway, they say if we build it, you will come.  We hope to have some visitors soon.

Last week we spent several days with my parents in Price.  We went there to help my parents with some random projects around the house and yard.  We also picked up my sister Sherstin's 4 children and brought them back to Logan to babysit for the week while they and my parents go back to Iowa to visit Joseph and Nauvoo.  It has been fun having the kids-very different to have 5 kids instead of 1, but a good experience.  (Thankfully I have my other sister Jessica here to help!)

Molly has learned to roll both ways now.  She continues to make us smile everyday.

Photo Shoot

Last week Molly had some pictures taken in a tutu that I made for her.  They actually turned out so cute and I have had such a hard time picking just a few for the wall.  I can't believe how much my baby is growing.  I have been going through a lot of pictures because I am teaching a photo fun class tonight at enrichment and I am amazed at how my baby has changed.  The picture on the header is one of my favorites.  I just LOVE her blue eyes.  Where did the blue come from?  (Nick and I both have brown eyes)  Well, I guess from her grandpa Sidwell.  (he is blonde with blue eyes)  Molly is such a good baby and brings me such joy!   She is rolling over pretty well now.

This week is Nicks last week of work for a few weeks.  One of the advantages of working in the school district is summer break.  He does work a month of the summer, but has a month off.  It will be so fun to have him home here and there.  We have a few trips coming up, so that will be fun.
