That Reminds Me

On Saturday Nick and I went on a date to Big Lots!  Sounds funny huh....I think Nick thought the same thing when we got there, but it turned into a really fun date night.  We each had a list of things to find objects that reminded us of the item on the list.  Like one said, "What object reminds you of his/her work?"  I got "all" laundry detergent because he does it all!  And Nick got sidewalk chalk because my job is to play with our girls!  For "Our first Kiss" I got Doritos that said, "Spicy and Sweet."  For How your spouse looks Nick got a lighter for Hot and I got some napkins that said Ultra Strong.  It was fun to sit in their furniture section and talk about the things we found and the memories they created.  I am reminded everyday why I love Nick.  He is so good to me and our children.

Cuddles in my bed

Tea Party

The other morning when I woke up, Molly had made this picnic tea party for all of us.  She had dressed up some stuff animals, and made us all rainbow place settings.  I love her imagination.

Hapkido

The last few months Nick has been taking Hapkido with his nephew on Wednesday nights.  He enjoys spending time with Brexton and practicing what he learned too.  This week Molly decided she wanted to go too.  She really enjoyed it.

Bridal Veil Falls

Last Saturday we went to Provo to visit the Johnsons.  They moved to Provo a few months ago and we wanted to see them.  We went fishing on the Provo river which was fun.  Both my kids just got right in and got wet.  It started raining so we went back to the house for lunch.

While we were eating, Avey started choking on a lifesaver.  I have never been so scared in my whole life.  I couldn't get it out and yelled help.  Nick came running and started pounding on her back but it still wasn't coming out.  Chad came running over and continued pounding her back.  She started going limp and started turning blue.  It was so scary.  Finally it came out and she screamed.  Best sound.  I just hugged her and cried.

When things calmed down, we went hiking at bridal veil falls.  I have passed by the waterfall so many times and never stopped so it was fun to hike it.  It was breath taking.  On the way down the trail it was Molly's time to give me a scare.  She tripped and fell forward, hitting her head and nose.  Blood all over.

Despite all the scares we really had such a fun day.  We love being with the Johnsons again.

Lake Powell

How could I foget to post about Lake Powell.  In the middle of July we planned to go to lake powell with the Whiteheads and Jensens.  We were planning on having Avey and Wes stay with mom and dad, but really last min. I ended up staying at moms too.  Nick and Molly had a blast and everyone kept telling me that I really missed out...aka for they had a really great time.  I had a great time too though with the babies and parents.  It was actually very relaxing for me too.

Everyone was super proud of Molly for climbing to the indian ruins.  Apparently it was a long, hard climb.  She loved the water and being able to swim with a life jacket.  She even kneeboarder for the first time!  Go Molly!
