Pneumonia

The new picture on top is what I made Nick for valentines. I had it printed and framed for his office. This is the card that Molly gave her daddy. (she also made one for her grandparents too)

OK-So it was a little worse than I thought...the diagnosis-Pneumonia. It has been a long two weeks! Last Monday I went to a doctor that was on call, since it was a holiday, and she didn't do anything for me. In fact she didn't even listen to my lungs. I told her that I have had a fever for 6 days so her nurse took my temp. only to show that my fever had broke. So I went home thinking it was just a virus. Tuesday night I was still so sick and not getting better but worse, so Nick called and made an appointment with my doctor for Wednesday. After taking my temp. (101 degrees), hearing about how long this has lasted and listening to my lungs he said, "You are really sick." I had some blood work done and a chest x-ray and I had Pneumonia. He got me more medicine and now I am finally on the road to recovery. Nicks mom Ali came and stayed with us on Thursday-Saturday. What a huge blessing! She did some cleaning, cooking and playing with Molly. Friends from the ward and family have all been so helpful!! We are truly so grateful!

Valentines

We had a wonderful Valentines thanks to Nick. This last week I have fallen ill again-and am still sick, so Nick had to be thoughtful and plan something at home. So first he spent the day helping me with Molly and letting me get naps in between feedings. Then while I was sleeping he made my favorite meal. He had Molly and I dress up and then he but on a suit. We ate fettuccini Alfredo with asparagus, bread, choc. covered strawberries and eclairs-with the table dressed in rose petals and candlelight. It was beautiful!

So now to the not so fun part. Last Tuesday I came down with mastitis again. I have had a fever, body aches and chills since. I have been on anti-biotic, but about 3 days ago started with a really bad cough. My guess-bronchitis. I am going to go to the doctor tomorrow since the fever is still persisting. Nick and my sister Jess have been so helpful so that I have been able to rest. Jess came and watched Molly for several hours one day and Nick has had her all weekend. I am so thankful!! Keep you posted.

As some of you may know...

A while back, I used to write for this online magazine JenMagazine.com about modesty. I did my "capstone" project in college about modesty and how it influences communication. I am convinced modesty affects everything.

I found Jen's magazine and I fully support what she is doing- promoting values to teen girls. I also did projects in grad school about teen pregnancy which I believe is a direct result of the declining morals and values of women in the US. I also listen to Dr. Laura Schlessinger and Dr. James Dobson, I read their books about this very decline and I have to make a stand! I, like Dr. Laura, believe that if you want to ruin a nation, all you have to do is corrupt the women of that nation into moral decline. After that, men will fall, children will will carry the cantankerous ideals into the future, and the spread of deterioation will infiltrate even the very corners of that nation until the disease takes over. Modesty and chastity are the fruits of a healthy nation. Please teach your girls and young women WHY modesty is important.

If you need help, try Jenmagazine.com or listen to those making a stand against moral decay. Watch this video too...

Eyelashes & Church

I just had to post a picture of Molly's long eyelashes.  I think they are so cute!
The last week went pretty well.  We had another doctor appointment to check her weight and she finally passed her birth weight.  I was so glad because I have been so worried about it.  Molly is now almost 8 lbs.  I love weekends because Nick gets to be with us during the day.  It is so nice!  Yesterday we went to sacrament meeting.  Molly stayed in her car seat and covered the whole time, but we still got her dressed in a dress.  She looked so pretty.  Here's a picture of her and Nick and one of a cute yawn.
