Coupons

So I have just been learning a little bit more about coupons lately and today I think I had a pretty successful trip to the store. The only thing I needed as far as food goes is eggs, but I took the opportunity to stock up on some other things that were on sale for the pantry. If you are good at couponing...please critique and let me know if I really got a good deal or not. Here is what I got.

1 12 ct. eggs
2 dove deodorants
3 dove shampoos
6 ziplock bags (2 100 ct. sandwich and 4 30 ct. freezer quart size)
6 reese cups (for easter)
Total: $20.52
Send in for $15.00 Rebate for the ziplocks
Grand total $5.52 for all the products listed above + $4.00 in Register Rewards
I guess that means that shopping trip was $1.52 for everything.
NOT TOO BAD!!

according to my receipt my total savings was $34. 30 but that is before the rebates and the RR

Spring Break

Lets Go!

This morning when I awoke to pounding next door (they are building a house right next door) I thought, maybe since I was woken up so early I'll go for a jog...only to look out the window and see snow. Is it spring yet?!? Well, we had spring break last week regardless of the weather. On Wednesday we met my whole family (everyone in my immediate family was there) for dinner. My brother and his family came from Iowa for their break and it is the first time we were all together in 8 months. We ate dinner and then the boys headed to a Jazz game while the girls and kids went to my brother Johns house to hang out and visit. At bedtime, we put the kids in their PJs and loaded them in the car for the trip to Price. Molly didn't fall asleep until about the last 15 min. of the trip. Molly and I spent the next two days in Price enjoying time as a family. (Nick and Bart went back to Logan after the game for work.) We had a great time, but Molly does not sleep when we are away from home which makes me crazy. She slept maybe 2 hours total one night...then we get home and she sleeps great. It sure makes it hard to decided to go anywhere, and gets me a little anxious for any summer vacations coming up. Anyway, we had a blast playing with cousins and chatting. Mom made YUMMY food for every meal. Thanks for pampering us mom! My brother got strep while we were there, so we didn't get to spend a lot of time with him :( but we sure enjoyed hanging out with Jessie and the twins. Here are some pics of our time at the dino park. Molly loved the swing, going down the slide and playing in the wood chips.Helping me prepare my Sunday lesson.

For Auntie M

Molly got this cute horse from her Auntie M when she was born. She just loves to play with it. She likes to cuddle it and get it to go down her slide.
I just had to throw in a picture of Molly in her Sunday dress. Too cute!

Fun Pictures

My friend Marilyn has been trying to work on her photo portfolio and she asked us to let her practice on. I think she did a great job. You can see her blog here. Enjoy!

Quiet Book

If you have tried to make a quiet book and don't really have sewing skills you know what a BIG project this was. It all started at Thanksgiving when both "moms" asked what Molly needed for Christmas. I told them both that all I wanted was a quiet book for Molly. Both Moms were a bit busy around the holiday. Ali (Nick's mom) sent me a pattern book and a few pages she had started for Jeremy (Nick's 15 year old brother) several years ago. My mom had a book that my aunt Marilyn had started 19 years ago but didn't finish. Between the two "half done" projects and a bunch more time and patience, Molly finally has a quiet book for church. She loves it and I am so glad because I don't think I will ever attempt one of those again. Thanks moms! (PS-Update: Molly has RSV and an ear infection. Staying in again. Man I can't wait for spring!
