Back to school feast & first day!

This year we had our back to school feast a few days before school started.  Nick and I thought about a theme for the year a lot and decided that since Molly will be baptized this year, learning to hear the Holy Ghost would be the most important thing we could teach this year.  I made the girls crowns and we had a yummy dinner.  After the girls received fathers blessings and a gift from us.  We gave Molly a necklace that has a liahona on it to remind her that the Holy Ghost is a guide, like the Liahona was for Nephis family.  Avery got this Batman dress because she really wanted it for school.  Nicks family was able to join us for the feast and Jeremy and Keith we able to assist Nick in giving the blessings.

BBQ & Play time

Josephs family came to Utah for a week this month.  We were all able to go to mom and dads apartment and swim and play together.  Mom made a yummy bbq too.  Sherstin and Joes family came up to Kaysville that night for games on the deck and to hang out a little longer.  Then, a few days later, we went to Price.  The girls and I stayed with mom and dad, Joelle, Evie and Wesley while the others went to Lake Powell.  (Nick was at Limitless with Jeremy)  The girls loved having sleepovers with their cousins and I enjoyed spending time with my parents.

Camping

We took one last camping trip before school started up in the Uintahs with Johns family.  Most of the time was spent fishing and chatting.  I did teach Will and Cara a new game that they loved.  The girls loved being with their cousins and getting dirty.  They both didn't like the bathroom arrangements at all and decided camping is fun but they like having a clean bathroom.  Girls take after their mom!

International Peace Gardens

The last few months, mom and dad have been living in an apartment in Salt Lake.  We miss having them come here, but we have loved being able to get together with them to swim, have dinner and one night in August we went with them to the international peace gardens.  We always have such a great time with grandma and grandpa!  When Molly started school last week, she wrote in her journal that the thing she will miss most about summer is swimming with Grandpa.
