House Projects Part 1

These Pictures are all in a weird order and I cant figure it out so...

you can at least hopefully see the transition in our bedroom.  I didn't love the yellow walls to begin with, but decided to go with it and I don't regret it.  I love the new painted white furniture, white curtains and white bedspread.  I made the comforter about 2+ years ago but never really had it on my bed for several reasons, but one reason was because I didn't have a bed skirt.  I finally made a bed skirt too and I love how it hangs.  I also made the pillows, curtains, painted the frames and shelves and to finish things off, I painted the fan light.  I love how it all turned out.  Last on the list is a painting Nick is doing for over our bed and some accessorizing.

Another room I tackled was the bathroom tile.  It wasn't bad, but I didn't like that the grout was so dark.  So with some grout restore it is now a tan color and I love it.

The last two weekends we have worked in the yard.  I need to take some "after" pictures but here are the "befores"  We have been working on the deck and clearing out old branches and leafs.  Last weekend we painted the deck railing and trim around the garage and back door.  Love how it turned out as well.  (Pics to come)

And lastly, the family room is starting to come together a little.  Nick obviously did the painting above the mantle and I love how it turned out.  He added to it after I had already hung it on the wall.  I LOVE this talent!

Family Fun

Last weekend we met the Behunens downtown for dinner.  We hadn't seen them for a while and it was really good to catch up.  We enjoyed a yummy waffle at a place authentic to Jordons mission.  Then they came to see our new house and Molly danced and sang to "Let it Go."  Here are some pictures of the kids playing outside at dinner at City Creek.

Play time with Uncle Jer

Nick's brother Jeremy has spent a few weekends with us.  It has been fun and very helpful to me.  He plays really great with the kids!  This is him and Molly playing Wizards.  Such a great uncle!!

Ouchie!

Avenley got a few ouchies the last few days. The one on her eye was from a bank falling on her eye.  Nick made a fort in Molly's room and I used the bank to hold the blanket up.  It got pulled down on her and actually bled a lot!  Yuck!  The one on her nose I actually don't know how she got.  It just showed up one day.

My Picky Eater

I think I have talked about my picky eater before, but I love these pictures...with chocolate and ice cream on her face.  She LOVES sweets and won't touch fruits or vegetables.  I try hard to get her to eat healthy food, but she stick to hot dogs, noodles, cereal, bread, yogurt, mac n cheese, & bread sticks.  Yep...that is about it.

The ice cream was a reward for being good at the doctors.  Both girls had their well baby checks this week along with shots.  Both girls did great but Molly especially did great and didn't even cry.  She told me before she had the shots that she was just going to imagine that unicorns were real to help her not get scared.  Too Cute!

Molly's 5 year and 2 month STATS:

Sunday happenings

Today Nick and I taught the CTR5 class.  It is our new calling and I think it will be so fun to teach together. Then we spoke in church.  Phew...we are done.  I think both our talks went well so I'm thankful for that.

In primary today we learned about prayer. When we got home from church Molly was upset because she wanted to go outside to play but we were busy and didn't want to go out with her.  She started crying, so she had to go to her room.  Then I heard her in there praying through her tears.  She prayed that she could stop crying and be able to have a lovely day.  It was so sweet.  When she came out a Few min. Later she was happy and pleasant. She told me she had said a prayer and Heavenly Father had answered it.  I went outside with her and we were able to see the beginnings of spring. We came in and I had her listen to "Wick" from the secret garden.

Tonight we went to a friends, the coons for dinner.  It feels good to be getting to know a few more people. They aren't in our ward but Nick works with Emily.

Avey had a tooth come in this week and she is working on one more.  Almost a full mouthful.

Nick and Molly made this fairy house a few weeks ago but I never got a picture of it until today.
