Ah Nuts!

When Molly was about 6 weeks old her doctor told us she had excema and we started creams to help her skin not be too itchy. Because of that we had a higher risk of food allergies. We couldn't even start rice cereal until 6 months, regular food until much later. Nuts were one of the last to introduce and she did break out with a rash all over her face when she tried them. So, we have been trying to keep her nut free since. (although I am afraid she has had some here or there) Because of that she will often ask for something and if it has nuts in it, we tell her she can't have it because it has nuts. She has heard it over and over and she is really good about not eating it or throwing a fit when that is the answer. The other day I asked her if she wanted some vegetables for dinner. She replied, "Uh, no, it has nuts!" What a smartie...a way to get out of eating her veggies.

Books, Curls & Hiding

I love that Molly loves books!! For a while I put her bookshelf in her closet just to make some extra room int the family rrom, but I noticed she didn't read quite as much. (She doesn't know how to open her closet doors yet.) So they came outagain a few weeks ago and it has been fun to watch her go back to playing with books more than other things. Here is a picture from before she was a year old, and here is one from today. Always loving books.
I did her hair in curlers the other day and I thought she looked so grown up with her hair back.
The other day Molly came out of her room with her binkie in her mouth. She is only allowed to have it in bed so when she came out I told her that it better be on her bed before I came back from brusing my teeth. This is what I found when I came back. Silly girl!!

Mother's Day Weekend

We celebrated early.

Friday the Sidwell's came up for the evening. Allison gave me a Family Home Evening book that she compiled. Can't wait to use it tonight. They also watched Molly while Nick and I went to an EQ party. It was a lot of fun and nice to just relax and visit with people from the ward. (when I say relax, I loved attending and not being in charge of the activity)

Saturday I surprised Nick with a family date to Dowtona Springs. It was the anniversary of 8 years since he proposed so I wanted to do something fun. We had steak dinner...soaked in the hot springs...swam...and enjoyed a pazookie. It was so much fun!! While we were swimming, Molly was laughing, Nick and I were both smiling and I knew I was having a moment that I didn't want to forget. Molly summarized it best. When we were walking in the door that night Molly said, "That was fun, fun, fun!" So cute!

Mother's day was nice and relaxing. It was nice to come home from church to a poster made by Molly and Nick (Molly was home sick) and some paper flowers. Nick also got me some earrings and flowers to plant outside. He is also working on a shelf in the garage that I have been dying to have built. What a great hubby!! We enjoyed dinner at Jessica's and playing church baseball.

Fun weekend!!

This is for mom. I wanted to wait until everything is in bloom and the pots are planted, but mom wanted to see. I am happy with how it turned out so far. Wish I had a before shot to go with the afters. Here are our 2 little pear trees. SUPER thankful for a fensed yard!! Molly loves being out there and I love not worrying about her too much.

Women's Confernce

Fishing in Music Group.

Last week I had the opportunity to attend Women's Conference at BYU with my sisters, mom, mother-in-law and aunt. It was the first time in a log time since I have attended the whole event. Thanks to my amazing father-in-law who watched Molly both days. She loved having time with Papa and I loved learning more about the gospel andbeing uplifted. We also had the chance to see a few friends throughout the weekend too.

Been working in the yard the last 2 days. It is really coming together, but has been a lot of work. Pictures to come...when the flower pots are done. I really have an itch to get some spring cleaning done, but haven't really had much time for it. Hopefully soon.

Here is a random picture, but I wanted to take a picture of Molly's cute hair one day.
She cracks me up everyday. Latley she has really liked dressing up. She will put on layers of clothes. Too cute.
