My Picky Eater

I think I have talked about my picky eater before, but I love these pictures...with chocolate and ice cream on her face.  She LOVES sweets and won't touch fruits or vegetables.  I try hard to get her to eat healthy food, but she stick to hot dogs, noodles, cereal, bread, yogurt, mac n cheese, & bread sticks.  Yep...that is about it.

The ice cream was a reward for being good at the doctors.  Both girls had their well baby checks this week along with shots.  Both girls did great but Molly especially did great and didn't even cry.  She told me before she had the shots that she was just going to imagine that unicorns were real to help her not get scared.  Too Cute!

Molly's 5 year and 2 month STATS:
Height 41" (15%)
Weight 33 lbs.  (5%)
Blood Pressure 96/58
BMI 10%
Vision 20/20

Avenley's 19 month STATS:
Height 32.25" (42%)
Weight 22 lbs. (30%)
Head Circumference 18.5" (62%)

Sunday happenings

Today Nick and I taught the CTR5 class.  It is our new calling and I think it will be so fun to teach together. Then we spoke in church.  Phew...we are done.  I think both our talks went well so I'm thankful for that.

In primary today we learned about prayer. When we got home from church Molly was upset because she wanted to go outside to play but we were busy and didn't want to go out with her.  She started crying, so she had to go to her room.  Then I heard her in there praying through her tears.  She prayed that she could stop crying and be able to have a lovely day.  It was so sweet.  When she came out a Few min. Later she was happy and pleasant. She told me she had said a prayer and Heavenly Father had answered it.  I went outside with her and we were able to see the beginnings of spring. We came in and I had her listen to "Wick" from the secret garden.

Tonight we went to a friends, the coons for dinner.  It feels good to be getting to know a few more people. They aren't in our ward but Nick works with Emily.

Avey had a tooth come in this week and she is working on one more.  Almost a full mouthful.

Nick and Molly made this fairy house a few weeks ago but I never got a picture of it until today.

Dress-up Time

Shoes

Avenley is obsessed with shoes.  She loves to try them on.  It doesn't matter who's they are...she will be trying them on for sure.

Playing in the Leaves

One warm day this week we raked up fome leaves left over from fall and jumped.

Valentines

(I'm a little late on this post, but better late than never.)

Valentines Day was such a fun day I wanted to write about it.  Nick left to work before I got up, but I made pink, heart pancakes for the girls.  Then they opened a little gift we got them.  Cute little outfits.  I did Molly's hair with braids in the shape of a heart.  We went to the church for a little valentine exchange for all the kids too young for school.  That was good for us to get to meet a few new people.  That night Nana came and babysat the girls and my nephews, while Jess, Bart, Nick and I went to Salt Lake for a night with Matt Townsend.  There was a magic show and then he talked about keeping the magic in our marriages.  We had a really fun night!  The next day we hung out with Jesses family and then went to Keenans basketball game in West Jordan.  We got to see mom and dad there too.  Then Sherstins family came and stayed with us for the night.  Such a fun valentine weekend!

There's No Place Like Home!

We made it!  We are in our new home and we LOVE IT!!  It feels so good and I couldn't be more thankful!  On the drive to the house to unload I had the kids in the back with a caravan of cars and trucks to unload.  I got feeling a little anxious and Avey started fussing.  Molly, trying to calm her down said, "It's okay Avey, we're almost home."  It was so sweet and it helped calm me down too.  That night after we were finally ready to crash we laid in bed and felt so good!  It has been busy trying to get things unpacked but it is coming along.  We had so much help from friends, family and neighbors.  We have already had my parents stay for 2 nights and a friend and her baby stay for 2 nights.  It feels good to have space to have people in our home.  God is good to us.  We enjoyed church on Sunday and Molly even played with a little girl a few doors down and I chatted with the mom Jessica.  It's starting to feel more comfortable and settled.
