Dentist
Molly went to the dentist for the first time today. Uncle Joseph has checked her teeth a few times, but never done xrays or had any tools when he check them, so it was her first full visit. She did awesome!! Not one complaint from her or the dentist. I was so proud of her...NO CAVITIES! Yeah Molly! I was also proud of Avey for sitting through the whole thing and only crying when I had to let the receptionist hold her while I got my xrays. No cavities for me either! Happy about that since we don't have dental insurance. :) Molly was pretty happy because she got to choose a prize and a princess toothbrush!
Baby Wesley
Baby Wesley Clark Whitehead
John and Julia had a baby boy last Saturday so to help, we went and picked up Nathan for a few days. Molly and Nathan played really good together for which I was thankful. They fingerpainted, played pretend a lot, went sledding and played in the snow. One night they earned a movie and wanted to watch it in Mollys bed.

Kangaroo Zoo
Molly has been working to earn best behavior tickets for a trip to Kangaroo zoo. She gets a ticket if she goes the whole day without crying (unless she is hurt) and one for staying in bed at night and not waking us up. On Saturday she got ticket #10 so she chose to go to Kangaroo Zoo. She had never been there and I was worried it would be a waste of money because she doesn't even dare go down the slides at McDonald's but she proved me wrong. We spent over 2 hours there and she wasn't ready to leave. The tallest slide was actually her favorite. I was proud of her and her climbing skills. Our friend Jared and Ben came too. Avey loved just looking around at everyone.
Rice Cereal
Avey tried Rice cereal for the first time last week. She really liked it and did a good job keeping most of it in her mouth. So far no reactions. She has had a yeast diaper rash for over a week so we have had a lot of naked baby time. I know I shouldn't take pictures like this for embarrassment reasons someday, but she is just too cute!
Molly ate a choc. Popsicle while Avey had her cereal. Yummy.

Not So Well Baby
Where do my kids catch things?!? I swear I am vigilant at keeping things clean and sanitized. Whenever we get in the car from being anywhere I sanitize myself and the kids. Did she catch it at her well baby check? Anyway, my little Avey has hand, foot, mouth disease. At least I think that is what it is. Yesterday she wouldn't put any weight on her feet. I thought it was because she got her shots the day before and her legs hurt. She wasn't eating super well and was needing to be held a lot more. Something that again I thought had to do with her shots. Then when I changed her diaper last night, she had RED feet with bumps all over them. I called the doctor right away because I was afraid it was a reaction to the shots and he said HFMD. She is miserable. I have only been able to give her Tylenol and rub oils but she doesn't feel well. Praying Molly doesn't get it.

My Well Baby
Avey had her well baby check today. I am a little behind because of the move and since she is almost 6 months (In 5 days) we did her 6 month check. Avey was 25 in./26th percentile for height, 13.10lbs/10th percentile for weight and her head was 16.5in/36th percentile. When I look back on Mollys stats at her age she is just a little bigger but not by much.
Avey is quite the little talker...or should I say big talker. She has a loud voice. It is funny becasue Molly used to have such a quiet voice and loud cry. Avey is the opposite. She is so loud when she is babbling and her cry isn't too loud. She doesn't cry much though. Still nurses every 4 hours and might start baby food soon. She wakes once at night to eat and sometimes more for her binkie. She likes to wrapped to sleep still. She loves to cuddle and be close. She is smiley! Naps 3 times a day and is now in size 2 diapers.

My Molly Girl
It has officially been 4 years since I gave birth to my little baby Molly. I remember it like it was yesterday. I remember driving in the fog to the hospital, so excited that she was finally coming. I remember the smile on my doctors face when he checked me and said, "Looks like your going to have a baby today." I'll never forget how worried I felt when my blood pressure kept dropping and the baby's heartbeat was going down. I'll remember the epidural finally kicking in. Everyone telling me that she had lots of hair while I was pushing. Mom pacing back and forth. Nick crying and hugging me. Holding my beautiful baby for the first time. Feeling SO MUCH Love!!
Molly continues to be such a joy in my life. Yes, there are days that I struggle. But there are defiantly more good days than bad. I love watching her grow and develop.
Things she can do/enjoys: Puzzles- they are usually really easy for her and she has even done a few 100 piece puzzles with a little help. Singing-she loves making up songs just like her daddy and she carries a tune very well...she still loves when I sing to her at night. Dance-just started dance again and continues to love it. She is learning to skip and jump a little higher and on one foot.
Other things about Molly: She loves to play Hide-n-seek. It is her favorite game right now and she wants to play it several times a day. She also loves to have tea parties. Molly is a great BIG sister. She is so helpful with Avey and she always makes her smile and laugh. She isn't a picky eater and will try just about anything at least once. Favorite foods though are mostly kid foods...mac n cheese, pizza, soda, and anything sweet.
Today at her well baby check she was 38.5 inches/24th percentile for height, 36.6 lbs/12th percentile for weight and her BMI was 19.

Her real birthday! Dessert pizza, Minnie mouse dress up, barbie, snow cone machine, and movie night!

Happy Birthday Molly
Molly had her first friend party on Saturday. She wanted a princess tea party, so that is what she got. The girls dressed up. They danced as princesses until the music stopped and had to find a heart to sit on. We decorated crown door hangers and had the tea party. Grandma Whitehead got Molly this cute Minnie Mouse dress up.
More Snow
This weekend we were smashed with a ton of snow. It started Thursday night and Friday morning they canciled schools in Davis due to the conditions. It didn't stop snowing until Saturday afternoon. We have about 3 feet on the ground. Cold and Wet! Mittens and Scarfs! Sledding and Forts!
