I have a few Questions for you all...
1. Any good book recommendations?
2. Any good movie recommendations (old or new)?
3. Any foods that help curb nausea?
4. Any ideas on digital scrapbook software?
I guess not working has me a little bit at a loss for things to do while I feel nauseous. I would love to sleep all day, but know that isn't the best thing for me. I know most of my friends have "been there, done that" when it comes to my questions, so all the help you can give the better. Thanks!
Nick started his first day of fieldwork yesterday. I wish I could say he loved it, but I think this one will be a little harder for him. Most of the population that he will be working with are our grandparents age or older and they aren't able to do much on their own. He says it is a little depressing. He will hang in there though.
I wish we had some fun vacation plans, but until this nausea lets up, I don't think traveling is an option. If anyone wants to visit us though, you are welcome. We have 2 extra bedrooms and would love see you all. If you come up for Utah Summer Games, or the Shakespearian Festival, or Zions, let us know your around.

Hey Sarah,
Get on your Goodreads account and start requesting all the friends in the ward that are on my list! You will have so many book recommendations, you won't know what to do with yourself! It is so much fun. It will entertain you while you feel crummy and help you to keep in touch with everyone. Half the ward is on Goodreads!
Lynn Riggin told me that gatorade and sherbet help with morning sickness. I never really found anything that helped me too much. Just time and sleep. Those first few months you are DEAD tired.
Hey! I don't have any magic cures for you. I was sick for nine months with both of my children...ginger ale and saltines in the morning gave me enough of a boost to get the day started. Also, fresh air. As for digiscrapping, I use Adope Photoshop, and I love it. I also have a ton of good blogs and sites to go to to get stuff! Let me know if you are intersted in any of them!
anything that is mintie or peppermint is what helped me the first 3 months. as for the tired just take it easy and eventually you'll get more energy.
A few of my friends use ikeagodess.blogspot.com for free digital scrapbooking things.
And they use photoshop as their program I think.
Morning sickness--eat or drink even if you don't feel like it because not eating/drinking makes it worse.
I took ginger pills. My first 3 months were the worst. I did get better for me, so I hope that the case for you too!
I love Adobe Photoshop for a scrapbooking program. Ask Kira Gundersen - http://sewcraftcreate.blogspot.com/
she digital scrapbooks ALL the time!
Check out my goodreads account for good book recomendations. Right now I would recommend "Belly Laughs" by Jenny McCarthy and "What to Expect When You're Expecting"
Movies - Sorry, can't help here. I mostly watch Barbie & Disney right now :)
I don't know if you've seen these, but...
Becoming Jane
Amazing Grace
Nicholas Nickleby
We Are Marshall
I'll keep thinking.
I agree with seven leavitts. EAT!! Pretzels, bananas, and milk helped me a ton. I always kept a little baggie of pretzels in my car, purse, house etc. They are something to keep that nasty taste from taking control of your taste buds yet they dont really have a super strong flavor.
We do the blockbuster mail thing, and we just put Moondance Alexandar and Saving Sara Cain on our list. We also like the "loves" movies as kyle calls them. If your wondering call me and i'll tell you the names.
Good luck with everything. Tell Nick we say hi. Miss you guys.
A friend of mine - sick for 9 months - kept jars of peanut butter around to sniff when she felt nauseous. She had them in the car, at church, etc. Sounds gross...but whatever works!
Now for something to do.........
After I graduated I decided to sign up on www.familysearchindexing.org to work on some name extraction. I spent a few hours going through the tutorials, and was ready to go. It's fun for me to do something worthwhile when I have the time. You can download as few as 20 names at a time, and do it only as often as you want.
Eating bland food helped me (and not the typical bananas, rice, crackers, toast usually recommended) I found I didn't get quite as sick after eating baked potatoes, carrots, celery and chicken. I think it's a really individual thing, do whatever seems like it might work and ignore everything that doesn't sound good. I kept trying ginger because it was supposed to help but hated the taste so much it made me worse. A couple other suggestions are vitamin b12 and smelling/eating fresh lemon.
Hey, I could only eat salads, lots of salads and water:) No Taco Time:( Just remember that if your sick, it's a good thing! The Twlight books are amazing and you can read them over and over and not get board.
Books!
Pregnancy Sucks: What to Do When Your Miracle Makes You Miserable
Alison loaned that to me when I was pregnant with Lucas, and I laughed until I cried!!! While also learning. :) Also, like Bridget said, join us on GoodReads!
Nausea!
First time around, I lived on peppermint LifeSavers, LemonDrops, and ICE, ICE, ICE!!!
This time? Plain, fat-free yogurt.
I also take Vitamin B-6 and 1/2 a Unisom at night. It seems to help me!
Good luck! We miss you guys!
Sarah... How are you feeling?
