SNOW!

This last week we got about a full foot of snow in 2 days.  It has been BEAUTIFUL!  We are so blessed to live in Utah!  We had some friends join us for a sledding party one afternoon and then this morning Nick had me try the snowboard.  Then we built a snowman!

 

David Archuleta Concert

Last weekend I got to cross something off my bucket list: Going to a David Archuleta concert.  He was performing at Layton High School just 5 min. away so I got tickets and he did not disappoint.  Nick went with me and we had such a fun time!!  His voice is amazing!!

Elf Party and White Christmas

In the middle of December we hosted two parties.  One was a "girls night" watching White Christmas and then having a hot chocolate bar.  The other was an Elf party.  It was a fun night at both parties.  Jen and Brent Vansickel

Nativity

In Kaysville every year they have a huge display of nativities from all around the world.  They were amazing and we had a fun time listening to the entertainment too.  I think we will make this a tradition.  So much fun. 

Polar Express Party

This year Molly's school hosted a Polar Express party.  They did all the details with tickets, the principal as the conductor, hot chocolate and even a fun indoor snowball fight.  Then the kids watched the movie in their pajamas.

Festival of Trees

This year as a Sidwell family we decided not to do gifts for each other and instead volunteer at the Festival of Trees in Sandy.  The kids each used their money to dress a bear that would be given to a child at Primary Childrens Medical Center.  We had a fantastic day.  

November Happenings

Leaves are falling ALL AROUND!  We love having our HUGE trees in the backyard, but fall is kind of crazy with the amount of leaves we have to bag.  The kids love playing in them though so I guess it is all worth it!



Thanksgiving this year was at Nate's house with the Sidwell family. (Nick's cousin)  I made 6 pies to take and upon my first bite of pumpkin pie, realized I forgot the sugar.  Bummer.  Good thing for cream!  Molly was most excited about the turkey and ALL that Avey would eat was crackers.

Molly was in a Reflections assembly at her school for the art she did.  She loved being able to show off her art.   Cuddles with Grandma!  Grandma and Grandpa Whitehead came and watched the girls for a day while I went to a workshop.  Avey loved all the extra attention and someone new to listen to her all day.

This month Nick was in a car accident.  Thankfully he was not injured, but his car was totaled and that meant we searched after work for a car, for almost 3 weeks straight!  And...we came home with a van!!  Molly named it Hero and we love it!!  All except Avey.  She always wants to ride in the car instead.
