Spring Fun and 24.5 weeks

Easter Fun

After the Kidney Stones I REALLY wasn't up for a drive so Easter weekend Nick and Molly went to Eagle Mountain while I hung out at home. It proved to be a very restful day. They had a lot of fun with family. Nana always makes easter special and taught the grandkids about the reason we celebrate Easter. Then they all headed down to Price for the weekend. We went out to dinner Saturday night and they stayed for church on Sunday. Molly really enjoyed looking for eggs and was so excited about her Minnie Mouse outfit. (She had to wear it for 2 days.) I loved the Easter dress that grandma and grandpa gave Molly. She looked so pretty!!

Kidney stones and UTI

I have used this title before. When I was pregnant with Molly. Too familiar.

Thursday morning when I got up I had a lot of pain on my right side. Let me back up, the night before I started feeling severe back pain. I thought I was because I spent most of the day sitting at the sewing desk making a quilt for Molly, but I also felt a little nauseous. Fast forward...next day...ate breakfast and felt sharp stabbing pain in my side and pelvis. I took two extra strength Tylenol and got in a warm bath. Nothing seemed to help, so I just went back to bed. I called Nick and he stopped home from work and gave me a blessing By about noon, the pain had mostly gone away. I kept Worrying though. What If something was wrong. I kept having Braxton hicks. I called my doctor and they just said to go to the hospital and be checked out. I was super annoyed. I didn't want to go to the hospital and spend a ton of money for them to tell me I was having liniment pain. I went anyway and Nick met me there. After a urine sample and being hooked up to monitor the baby, we waited. The nurse came in and said they found blood in my urine and the doctor wanted me to have an ultrasound of my kidneys. After waiting another hour we had the ultrasound. The bad news was my kidneys were dilated, showing that there had been stones...they weren't sure if there were more to pass...good news, after waiting some more we found out there were no more stones. I was still having quite a few strong contractions, but because my blood pressure being low, they didn't give me anything to slow them down. The doctor said the infection was causing the contractions and since I had just been flushed with 2 bags of saline he felt it was okay for me to go home. Thank goodness. Yesterday I started an antibiotic for the UTI. I am feeling better and making myself rest. I don't want this baby to come early. It is too early. Yesterday the contractions were still strong, but today they have been a lot better. I'm not sure why I have to go through this with both pregnancies. This pregnancy in particular has been super hard. I could not be more thankful to be pregnant. After 2 years of trying for this baby I shouldn't complain, but this has been hard. I feel so weak. I have had little energy this entire pregnancy. The days that I do feel well, I often overdue making for a bad few days.

This weekend Nick and Molly went to visit the Sidwells for Easter. I can't travel. Every time I do any traveling, I have strong contractions. I don't want to feel stuck here until the baby comes, but it looks like I won't be going anywhere for the next 11+ weeks.

We were supposed to move into our new place next weekend, but I heard today that the people who were moving out are building a house and it won't be ready until the end of the month, so we have a few more weeks now. I worry about having the energy or strength to move in a few weeks. What if I have to be on bed rest? Ah well....I shouldnt worry about something I can't control.

While Nick and Molly have been gone I worked on the quilt I have been making for Molly. It is turning out so cute. I must be nesting, but I have so many projects I want to get done before the baby comes.

The weekend

Tia weekend was a lot of fun. I had officially declared no more travel from me because after our last few trips I spent a day or two throwing up and with contractions. However, we traveled this weekend and will the next as well...and possibly the one after that. I didn't throw up after this trip, but did have lots of contractions. I don't know what my body doesn't like about traveling but it doesn't. Anyway, Nicks brother Jermey was in a play at his high school this weekend so we went to see it. Friday night we stopped at my brothers in lehi and played games and roasted marshmallows in a firepit. We got to eagle mountain later that night and had fun visiting with Keith and Allison. Saturday Nicks parents watched Molly and we went to the temple. It was so peaceful there...a peace I haven't felt in a while. So thankful for that. Then we went to the play. Jeremy did an awesome job and we really enjoyed watching.

We decidedon the 3 bedroom but can't move in for a few weeks. We are excited to have a place that we can call our own again soon. We are also all struggling with allergies. Yuck. Poor Molly has it the worst.

Happy St. Pattys Day!

Well unfortunately our week of warm weather changed on St. Patricks Day making our activity a little cold. We went downtown and watched the St. Pattys Day Parade. I think this is something unique to Price. At least Ive never heard of other towns that do one. Molly loved getting candy. She even got a soda pop which she was thrilled over!

The last few weeks have been spent looking for a place to live. We have never had this hard of a time finding a place that a. doesn't cost more than a mortgage, b. has at least 2 bedrooms, c. is clean, d. doesn't lock us into a ridiculous contract. It has been so hard, but we are getting closer. We are debating a 2 bedroom vs. a 3 bedroom. The 3 bedroom is bigger but doesn't have a dishwasher and is $150 more than the 2 bedroom. The 2 bedroom has a dishwasher and the rooms aren't too small, but no yard at all and close to a busy street. Humm.

The Last 2 Weeks

I am including a picture of me/the baby at 20 weeks. I HATE pitcures of my changing body, but I feel like since this is my journal/history, this is the place to put it. I am much bigger this time round. I think if I were to compare, I wasnt this big until I was about 24-25 weeks with Molly. This is the day we found out we were having another baby girl.

Last weekend we didnt have much planned so Friday night around 4:30 we called my sister Sherstin and asked what their plans were. Since they weren't busy, we packed a bag and drove to Monticello. We stopped in Moab at the Blu Pig for dinner with Sherstin and Lance. On Saturday we mostly just hung out, ate good, played games, watched Hugo, and chatted. On Sunday Lance was ordained a High Priest and put in the High Council, so it was fun to be there for that. Mom and Dad and Grandpa Echer came down on Sunday too so we enjoyed family and food after church. Another highlight of the trip was attending the Monticello temple. This picture is of me kissing my cousin Keenan and when I was throwing a fit downstairs.

This week was pretty good. I spent much of the week cleaning and organizing. We have been looking for a place to live since the house is sold, but haven't found anything we like yet, so I decided I couldn't put off organizing for one more week. Molly had her first dance performance and she did awesome!! She was so cute! They performed during the high school drill teams spring show.

This weekend I was sick. Randomly throwing up, so we mostly hung close to home, but we couldn't help getting out in the warm sun for a family bike ride. A great advantage of an electric bike while your sick and pregnant is you can still go bike riding without much effort.
