Happenings

Molly turned 2!! My baby is growing up. On her real birthday we didn't do much except go out to dinner and play on her new sled, (which she LOVED) but on Sunday, Nana and Papa Sidwell came and we had a party. She loved her 2nd cake...a Thomas cake. We had a great time playing games and eating and visiting.
Molly has been feeling much better! She is eating again and smiling and is back to being herself.

At 2 years old
*Says too many things to write. She is pretty easy to understand and usually uses please and thank you.
*loves Mickey Mouse, Thomas, Percy, Elmo, Boo, Tinkerbell and Snow White.
*loves to color, play with her toys and dance around
*likes to go to nursery
*is off the charts now for weight...we are working on that, but at her 2 year appointment she was only 20 lbs. (She was 18 at her 1st year appointment)
*she likes to watch mickey mouse clubhouse
*loves to play with her cousins
*likes to cuddle and "rocky rocky" before bed
*sleeps through the night
*loves baths with bubbles

It was also my birthday this week. I celebrated by trying to start potty training. Who knew it would be so hard. I guess it made for a disappointing day because I cleaned up more accidents then I ever hoped to, but I'm still trying. I feel like potty training is a lot like breast feeding. Neither of you quite know what to do to make things successful. I really had no idea it would be this challenging. Wish me luck.

Still Sick & Party

Molly hasn't really gotten better since the last post. For about a month she hasn't been great. She did get a little better for about a week...although that is when I had the stomach flu...but durning Christmas and New Years she was sick again. So finally Wednesday I took her to the doctor. He thought that it is just a virus, but gave us an antibiotic because of fluid in her ears. After 2 days of the antibiotic, this is what we began to see.
The poor girl has had a constant cough, sore throat, drainage and fever and now spots. We now know she is allergic to penicillin. She is on a new antibiotic now so we are hoping for some improvement.

My mom and dad came up for a birthday party for Molly this weekend. (It is a week early but we planned the party while my dad needed to be up north for a doctors appointment) I felt so bad because she was still sick but It was just what she needed to cheer her up. She had a princess party. She LOVED the cake, stickers, badge and present from grandma and grandpa Whitehead.
We didn't want her to blow out the candles on the cake and infect everyone so I just held them. She really liked blowing them out.

Sick & Stuff

Pretty much since we returned from Thanksgiving break Molly has been sick. She did the fever, nose, cough thing for about 2 weeks. She was up a few times a night and pretty miserable, but thanks to a priesthood blessing, essential oils, a few zones, and sleep she is doing much better. (Now lets hope Nick or I don't get it...I am feeling a little yucky today, but trying to fight it off)
This was when she started feeling a little better. She loves to dump out the train tracks and sit in the tote that they go in.
Durning Thanksgiving day at my moms, we had a coloring contest with the kids. I was amazed at how important it was for them to do their best. Here is a picture of some of the kids.
We had our ward party last week. Molyy got to meet Santa again. She did a little better this year knowing that he had candy.
I have also spent the last few days with one of my previous young women who is getting married. She went through the temple on Saturday and yesterday I took her bridal pictures. Here are a few that I liked...although there were a ton to choose from.

Merry Christmas 2010

Happy Holidays to all our family and friends. We are happy to report that we are healthy and happy this holiday season.

Our joy continues to come from our little princess Molly. She will be turning 2 in January. It has been so much fun watching her progress from barley walking at the beginning of this year to running, jumping, dancing, singing, talking, and making everyone smile. She isn’t a picky eater for which I am thankful. She folds her arms for prayer, mimics just about anything she sees and loves Elmo and Mickey Mouse.

I have loved being a stay at home mom! It has been nice to play with Molly, make dinner, keep a clean house and even find time to coupon, craft, and sew a little. Much of that came to an end in June when I got called as the Relief Society president of our ward. Now life includes all of the things I did before, but a lot less often and mixed with visits, meetings, lessons, and lots of phone calls. In the little spare time I have had, I started learning about photography and got a new camera. I have taken pictures for a few people which has been a lot of fun.

Nick has had a few bumps in the road this year. Logan School District did some cuts because of budgets and because he was the newest OT he was laid off. Before the school year actually ended he was hired by Cache School District. We were blessed to never go a month without employment or a paycheck. His work load has increase dramatically, so that has been hard to get used to. He also works PRN in a care center rehab dept. Nick also went back to school to become PUSH therapy certified. He is just beginning to practice as a PUSH therapist when he is not working at the school or in rehab. Nick serves in the Sunday School Presidency in our ward. He is a wonderful father. Molly loves spending time with her dad.

This summer we celebrated our 7th anniversary with a trip to Midway and Park City. We also went to a few family reunions, and rock climbing. Most of our other trips together were to Salt Lake where Nick had his PUSH classes. Molly and I loved to go to because we got to spend the day with friends and the nights with Nick.

This year we also put in our yard, porch, shed and fence. We love having it mostly done and being able to go to the backyard and not worry about Molly taking off. We love your home!

We know all of our blessings come from the Lord. We are thankful for our testimonies of the true gospel. May you have a blessed year.

Family Night

Once there was a snowman, snowman, snowman, once there was a snowman, tall, tall, tall!
Molly loved making her first snowman and enjoying the snow for the first time. She really enjoyed sticking out her tongue to catch the snow.

Fall Happenings

I used to be so diligent with blogging. Mostly for selfish reasons...it has become my only journaling. I have been such a slacker on it lately though. My only excuse in my calling as RS Pres. Who knew it would really take part of my day-everyday...and sometimes more. Don't get me wrong, it has been great, but very busy. Anyway, here are some cute pics of Molly enjoying the leaves and then a bath.
