Crafty

In the crafty mood again. Here is what I created for the loft. First I made love sacs for Molly and Nick. I call them Rollie Pollies and I first saw them here. I was too cheap to pay for the tutorial so I made up my own pattern. (Thanks Missy for helping me with the zipper. I had never done one before) Then today I made these cute pillows. And I had to throw in a picture of Molly's first french braid. Not too bad. (PS-check out the previous post to vote for your favorite picture)

Photo Shoot

A few weeks ago I entered my name in a drawing at the home and garden show and won a free sitting fee and $75 toward my picture purchase from Mackley Photography. He is really great! however even with the free setting fee and the $75 dollars I only got one 8X10 and $10 came out of pocket. So on my way home I stopped at my sisters and took a few pictures outside. I have been playing with the photos in a program my friend Missy told me about called Lightroom. It has been fun to play around with the trial version. Anyway, here are some of the things that I have done with it. (I didn't change any of the pictures...just the lighting and effects. Ready, Steady, Almost There...

This last week Molly tuned 15 months. How is it that this baby grows so fast?!? She had her well baby check-up and she seems to be doing well. In fact developmentally she is close to the 24 month milestones...except in one thing- Walking. Molly has seemed to be so close for so long, but doesn't really try to walk alone at all. Tonight we tried to work on it a bit and I think she did pretty good.

At her check up she was 18 lbs. 8 oz. (2nd percentile) and 29 inches long. (25th percentile) In other words the doctor said she can afford to gain some weight. She really is a good eater so I'm not sure what her problem is. Ah well.

She is sleeping through the night usually from 8 pm to 8 am. She climbs on things. Gives kisses and hugs. Says "up," "Uh Oh," "Momma," "Dadda," "Wow," and "LaLa." (if we are singing) She also signs "more," "all-done," "please," and "light." She has loved going outside and will push her walker thing to the door and start crying for us to come let her out. She likes the stroller and bike trailer. She is super hard to go shopping with...she wants to touch everything, especially candy. She does the actions to "The Wheels on the Bus," "Pat-a-cake," and is close to getting "Head-shoulders-knees-and toes." She loves music and dances to the beat. Her hair is long enough to easily curl.

Mostly she brings us joy each and every day. We love her smile, especially the dimples, and her giggle.

Music to my ears

Molly loves music. She loves playing the piano, dancing to music and making music. I wonder if it will continue?

Easter

This weekend was great! It started with a quick trip to Layton to Chuckie Cheeses to meet up with some friends that we haven't seen in about 3 years. It was super fun to see them and catch up. Then Saturday Nick's family came into town and stayed until yesterday. We had such a fun time playing games, playing with Molly, watching conference, and visiting. Molly also had a great Easter. On Saturday before everyone came we went to an Easter egg hunt in the snow. Molly loved the candy. She also got a bike trailer, bubbles, bunny blocks, and a few other toys for Easter.

Master bedroom and bath. The door you see in the last picture is the closet, but I didn't take a picture of that. Other rooms not pictured are the laundry room & family room. My camera died and I need to charge it.
