27+ weeks & Corn Maze

Ok, first you get the baby update. Monday I had an appointment with my doctor. It went well. I had to do the glucose test, so I made the appointment when Nick could come with me. (for those who know my veins and how blood never comes out might understand why Nick had to come) They also gave me a flu shot. The baby's heartbeat was 155 bpm, and I am actually measuring a week ahead. Pretty crazy considering I have only gained 5 pounds this whole pregnancy. It is going well and I am so thankful. We had our first prenatal class this last week too. So the picture is me at 27 1/2 weeks along. (I think that means I am into my 7th month) I hate that I already have the curvy back. Nick says that I don't waddle yet though, so that is good. :)

Last Thursday Nick and I went to a corn maze with my sister and her family. It was so much fun. The theme was Charlotte's Web, so the maze had a spider, web and Wilber. It also had a hey jump that the guys did. It looked so fun and I was actually considering it, when I looked down at my protruding belly. Not a good idea...don't worry, I didn't jump. I love this picture of Nick being "Some Pig."

Travels

This weekend we traveled 7 hours one way to attend the baptism of my niece Trinalee. We left Friday and went to Price for the night to break up the trip a bit. Then Saturday we ventured the rest of the way to Monticello. We had a wonderful time gathering and visiting as family. We missed my brother Joseph and his family, but everyone else from the family was there, including grandma and grandpa Echer and Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Jim. One of the funny things about the trip was my niece Caroline. They allowed all the kids to go up around the font when the children were being baptized. Right in the middle of another kids baptism, Caroline dropped a penny in the font. She immediately yelled "Oh, no! I dropped my penny, I dropped my penny. Can you grab that for me please. My penny." Needless to say, they stopped the prayer, grabbed her penny and started over. It was pretty funny. Trinalee looked like an angel. She has such a sweet spirit and you could tell she was so happy. I was glad we made the trip even though my back is killing.

Fall Family Night

I love this picture...you can see the colors and the reflection of the trees in the water. Breath taking.
My sister and nephew Dallin
My nephew Matthew
Last week we had a fun family night up Logan canyon. We went with my sister Jessica and her family. We had a fire, went on a short walk, threw rocks in the river, ate sloppy joes, chips, and homemade oreos, and talked about being kind to God's creations. It was a lot of fun. I love the colors in the canyon.

Baby Curtains

The last 2 days I have been busy sewing. Lesiel, my mom and my mother-in-law Ali would be so impressed as they are great seamstresses. I am going to do the baby's room in green, pink and brown. We bought a crib and changing table/dresser this week and I am excited to have a baby room. (not put together yet) So, I bought some fabric and started sewing. I made the valance, curtain panel, and crib skirt. (the crib skit looks just like the green curtain) My mom has so kindly agreed to do a pieced baby quilt and regular quilt(for the spare bed) along with the bumper pad for the crib. It will all be done with the same fabric. When the nursery is complete, more pictures will follow, but until then...the curtains! :)

Sorry it's sideways, but you get the idea.
