Electric Bike

Not too much more going on around here, that is why I haven't posted, but I think it is about time. I hate to even post this, thinking I might jinx myself, but I haven't thrown up for 3 days and I am so happy about it!! I am still tired and don't feel great, but much better than earlier last week. I am thankful for that. Today I am 12 weeks. So far so good. Anyway, because I have been feeling better, Nick and I went to the park on Saturday. We went on a little bike ride and I rode Nicks new electric bike. For graduation, Nick parents went in on a new bike. It is super cool and seriously saving us on gas. :) I keep wanting to post a picture of it, but I forget my camera card. Anyway, you can peddle it like a normal bike, or you can push the throttle, and it will peddle for you. Or if you are going uphill and going slow, it will automatically kick on. I love it, because I'm not much of a biker, and Nick loves it for riding the long way to work and back.

ReCaps & Stuff

So I finally downloaded pics from the camera to my usb to bring to the library. Here are a few recaps.Old news for most of you, but these are pics from Nick's graduation. 2 more months and he will officially be an OT!!

A few days ago Nick rescued a lost kitten. He found it crying in a field by our house. We wished we could have kept it, but living in a rental, and me being allergic, we had to let it go. We fist fed it, gave it a name (Ashes), and let is sleep in a big box for the night. We haven't seen it since Nick let it out the next morning. We were pretty sad it didn't come back. Hopefully if is ok. The whole area by our house is a construction zone, so we hope nothing happened to it. Anyway, here's a cute picture of Ashes.

And last, but not least, the baby update. On Friday I went in for an appointment because I hadn't been feeling well. The found I had a UTI. Ouch. They gave me medicine, which might help the UTI, but makes me feel more sick. They did another ultrasound to check the baby while I was there. Still a good heartbeat. This time I got to actually see it move. It is so incredible. So for the last picture today, our baby. It is the white part in the middle of the black oval thing. (uterus)

Baby Update

Sorry it has been so long. I miss having the Internet at home. Sometimes it is all I can do to leave the house for an hour to go to the library and use the Internet. Anyway, just a quick update...

Last week was pretty bad, I wasn't able to keep anything down. I knew that was a good sign, but I was pretty discouraged. On Monday we saw our new doctor. He gave me a gel that you rub on your wrists that helps with the vomiting. And so far, I haven't thrown up since Tuesday. YEAH! Of course I still don't feel great, but it is nice to be able to keep some food down. We also got to see our baby again. The doctor did another ultrasound and it was really reassuring! We saw the baby and heard the heartbeat. The doctor says the heartbeat is strong, and a good rate. I am still supposed to take it easy, but our chances of miscarrying went way down with such a great heartbeat at this point. We finally felt like we could celebrate this baby a little. We know it is still early, (9weeks) but we have hope that all will work out.

Nick is doing well. Still not loving his assignment here, but knowing that it is only 3 months helps the days pass a little quicker.

We MISS our friends in Nevada!!! but love spending time with our friends here too. Even though we don't have family here, in a way, it was like coming home. More adventures await. :)

Questions?

I have a few Questions for you all...

1. Any good book recommendations?
2. Any good movie recommendations (old or new)?
3. Any foods that help curb nausea?
4. Any ideas on digital scrapbook software?

I guess not working has me a little bit at a loss for things to do while I feel nauseous. I would love to sleep all day, but know that isn't the best thing for me. I know most of my friends have "been there, done that" when it comes to my questions, so all the help you can give the better. Thanks!

Nick started his first day of fieldwork yesterday. I wish I could say he loved it, but I think this one will be a little harder for him. Most of the population that he will be working with are our grandparents age or older and they aren't able to do much on their own. He says it is a little depressing. He will hang in there though.

I wish we had some fun vacation plans, but until this nausea lets up, I don't think traveling is an option. If anyone wants to visit us though, you are welcome. We have 2 extra bedrooms and would love see you all. If you come up for Utah Summer Games, or the Shakespearian Festival, or Zions, let us know your around.
